Leesport Craft Fair

This past weekend was Peace O' Cake Cupcakes first selling event at Leesport Craft Fair.  Unfortunately, due to rain conditions the crowd was so-so &the rain started to be steady that we had no choice but to pack it up.  The craft fair was a great experience &it was great to be able to share our products with people outside of the Coatesville/Chester County area.  Feedback was great &another craft fair at Leesport is definitely in Peace O' Cake Cupcakes future.

I want to thank everyone that came out to the craft fair and stopped by our tent.  And, especially, those who were so kind to buy some of our products.  We can't wait to come back!

Here was our best seller of the day &also, our new flavor!

St Patrick's Day

It's time to celebrate!!

What better way to celebrate this St Patrick's Day than with an Irish Car Bomb cupcake!?  I've done a Guinness cupcake, filled with a Bailey's pastry cream &topped with Jameson buttercream, finished with a chocolate shamrock..
We can't forget about the little kiddies out there that want to celebrate.  How about a green velvet cupcake topped with a cream cheese icing.. Still screaming St Patrick's day but without the alcohol!

Celebrate away!

Fire, Fire!

I just want to start out by saying a big THANK YOU to everyone that voted for me in the Cupcake Crown competition.  Out of 125 entries I came in 19th place &that's HUGE for me.  I was so excited and I couldn't have gotten that far without people so dedicated to helping me.  THANK YOU!!!!!  (I'm sticking to it, if you would like a cupcake just tell me.. I have started to give the Chocolate Salted Caramel Pretzel's out as thank you's already. =D )

So, on to new creations.. I am definitely getting into the spring flavors.  Even though I LOVE fall and winter flavor combinations, I am SO ready for light, spring combinations.  To start off I made Strawberry Lemonade (Lemon cupcake with a Strawberry Buttercream) &experimented with something I've never combined with cupcakes, FIRE!

See that blue hue, YUPP, that's the flame ;)
Of course, I want a big flame.. But I'll settle with this for now, because it's still awesome. =)

This is them without the strawberry garnish

As of now, the last weekend in March{25th &26th} I will be selling for the first time at Leesport Craft Show.  I am beyond excited if everything until then goes smoothly, that's why I am saying as of now.. So stay tuned!! =)

Celebrate!

I love finding out which day is what national food day.  You would be amazed if you took a gander at the list of food that has a specific date.  Although it's a day late, yesterday (January 24th) was National Peanut Butter Day.  In honor of this marvelous day...

Peanut Butter cupcake w/ Peanut Butter Chocolate swirled buttercream.

Here's a little treat for Valentine's day, which is right around the corner.

Basic Vanilla cupcake with a sweet Red wine Buttercream.
